Professional and Educational experience
My profesional experience includes being a Cytotechnologist and a teacher. As a cytotechnologist I studied biology, especially cell biology and variety of abnormalities that can take place in cells, ranging from infections to full-blown Cancer. I continued my education and received BS in Biology.
There was a turning point in my life where I decided to switch professions and became certified in Secondary education in Biology and General Science.
While attending college I worked as a substitute teacher in the Meriden district and this gave me the opportunity to learn about middle school students.
I started working full-time in a small middle school in Ansonia, where I passed the BEST program. Then I was offered a position in my hometown, Meriden, in the new Lincoln middle school. This is my fourth year at Lincoln.
I have completed my Masters in Science Education in August 2009.
